Rustavi Azot secures $65 million loan from EBRD for modernization

Rustavi Azot, one of Georgia’s largest fertilizer producers, has signed a $65 million loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to support the expansion and modernization of its operations.
According to the company, a substantial portion of the financing is structured as a green loan aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing the plant’s environmental footprint. The initiative forms part of Indorama’s wider strategy to enhance operational performance and align with international sustainability standards.
The investment is expected to strengthen the company’s role in Georgia’s industrial sector while contributing to broader environmental and efficiency goals in the region.
