Tri-Mer launches mobile dust collectors for short-term rental and testing

Tri-Mer has introduced a short-term rental program for mobile dust collection systems, expanding access to its wet and dry dust control technology for manufacturers conducting temporary production runs, process trials, or research and development projects.
The Owosso, Michigan-based company said the offering includes skid-mounted dust collectors that can be deployed quickly and supplied across the continental United States and Canada in multiple capacity ranges. The units are designed to handle volatile dusts and high dust loadings, with a configuration intended to prevent ignition at the source.
The rental systems use Tri-Mer’s Whirl/Wet dust collection technology, which the company said is effective for powdered, flaked, and granulated materials, as well as soluble and insoluble particulates. According to Tri-Mer, the technology is already in use globally across food processing, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, metals manufacturing, and battery testing applications, as well as in pneumatic conveying and packaging operations.
Tri-Mer said the rental units deliver collection efficiency of 95% to 99% and can be configured for manual or semi-automatic operation. The company added that energy generated within the system prevents clogging, reducing the buildup of sticky residues that can affect traditional dust collectors.
Unlike many conventional systems, the Whirl/Wet design does not rely on components such as spray nozzles, pumps, dust bags, or air compressors, which are typically associated with higher maintenance requirements. The collectors have no internal moving parts and feature a clean-in-place, self-cleaning design. Water consumption is limited, with additional water required only to offset evaporation and material carryout after initial charging.
Tri-Mer manufactures its dust collection systems in the United States and said the rental program also includes rent-to-purchase options for customers seeking longer-term deployment.
