PhosAgro showed drought-focused fertilizer solutions at Agro Expo Mongolia

PhosAgro-Region showcased its range of mineral nutrition systems at Agro Expo Mongolia 2026, emphasizing products designed for arid climates as Mongolia works to strengthen domestic food production.
The annual exhibition, a key platform for agricultural innovation, comes as Mongolia intensifies efforts to increase output of grain, oilseeds, potatoes, and vegetables. However, persistent precipitation deficits and increasingly dry conditions—particularly evident over the past year—have underscored the need for drought-resilient farming technologies.
At the event, PhosAgro-Region presented fertilizer systems developed for dry regions of Russia and parts of Asia. The portfolio includes liquid and water-soluble products such as NP 11:37 and NP 12:61, alongside established phosphorus-based fertilizers, including ammophos (NP 12:52) and sulfoammophos. The company also highlighted complex fertilizers combining macro-, meso-, and micronutrients within a single granule, aimed at improving nutrient efficiency and stabilizing crop yields under variable weather conditions.
In addition, the company introduced monocalcium phosphate to the Mongolian market, positioning the product as a feed additive for livestock production.
“Mongolia’s agricultural sector is demonstrating a strong interest in technological advancement, particularly in drought-resistant solutions,” said Dmitry Sushkov, Director of Sales for CIS Countries at PhosAgro-Region. He added that the company is expanding direct engagement with local customers through both product supply and agronomic advisory services.
