Adama introduces new fungicide mode of action and slug pellet in UK

At Cereals 2026, Adama will showcase a new fungicide with a novel mode of action for cereal crops, as well as a newly approved slug pellet for the UK market.
The company stated that Gilboa, which contains the active ingredient flumetylsulforim, is undergoing UK regulatory approval and is expected to be available for the 2027 growing season. The Fungicide Resistance Action Committee has classified it as a Group 32 fungicide with a unique mode of action targeting nucleic acid metabolism, a biochemical pathway not previously used in cereal fungicides.
According to Adama, the product is being developed to control diseases such as septoria and sclerotinia in cereals and oilseed rape, and to support resistance management as growers face increasing fungicide resistance across Europe.
The company will also present Ferrabait, a slug pellet approved for use in cereals, vegetables, grass leys, and broad-acre crops. The pellets contain the molluscicide Feralla, wheat flour attractants, and humic acids to encourage rapid slug feeding. Adama stated the pellets are designed for uniform spreading and durability in wet conditions, with an application rate of 40-50 pellets per square meter.
Adama’s exhibit at Cereals 2026 will be located in the Crop Plots and Agronomy zone at stand 1138.
