PhosAgro launched eco-labelling at International Green Week in Germany

PhosAgro presented its eco-label for Russian mineral fertilizers to the participants and visitors to the Russia’s national exhibit at Green Week 2020, held in Berlin, Germany.

This is a labelling system used in Russia for the production of environmentally friendly mineral fertilizers, assuring compliance with national standards. The eco-label is part of the Green Standard national brand, first introduced to the agricultural community during the Golden Autumn exhibition in 2019.

“In every country involved in intensive crop production and where farmers care about natural resources and are taking steps to ensure that their products are free of impurities, mineral fertilizers from Russia will now be distinguished not only by their effectiveness, but also by a label indicating their Russian origin and, therefore, their high environmental performance, ”stated Sergey Pronin, Deputy CEO of Sales and Marketing at PhosAgro and a member of the Russian Fertilizer Producers Association Management Board. “Promotion of a particular group of mineral fertilizers with proven environmental performance in Western markets will help strengthen Russia’s reputation internationally as a manufacturer and exporter of environmentally friendly products.”
