The Grodno Azot plant (Belarus) has chosen a general contractor for the construction of a new nitrogen complex.
Over the past year, the enterprise has been negotiating with potential contractors. Nine companies received documentation for negotiations, five of them (three from China, one from South Korea, one from Italy) participated in the selection procedure. As a result, the Italian company has been selected and Grodno Azot will proceed with signing a contract.
The new complex will produce 900 thousand tons of ammonia and over 1 million tons of urea per year. The project cost is estimated at $ 1 billion.
