Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers to modernize drying equipment

Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers (part of Uralchem) has begun the technical re-equipment of gas burner devices in ammophos workshop #2. The project will be implemented in several stages and completed by the end of 2020.

The present gas furnaces adjacent to a drum granulation dryer (DGD) has almost reached the end of its service life and require replacement. Their modernization will help to optimize the granulation drying process. As a result, labor intensity, cost of repairs and energy consumption will decrease.

“The role of gas furnaces is to continuously, uniformly and with a certain temperature heat the air in the dryer drum. The drying and granulation processes of the finished products (NPK fertilizers and ammophos) are taking place in DGD,” explained Roman Muravyov, Project Manager at Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers. “Technical re-equipment of gas burner devices will increase the reliability of equipment, reduce downtime and repair costs. Thus, we will ensure the stability of the entire production process and improve the quality of our products.”
