KazAzot intends to increase ammonium nitrate production

As the press-service of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan reports, KazAzot plant plans to increase the production of ammonium nitrate to 400 thousand tons.

As of today, KazAzot can produce up to 330 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate per year. About 65% of its total production volume is supplied to the Kazakhstan market, while the rest is exported mainly to Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Georgia and Azerbaijan.

In December last year, KazAzot launched the “saturation and evaporation facilities” project. The project’s cost is almost $16 million. It’s planned to be completed next year.
