Berezniki Azot resumes operations after forced supsencion
Uralchem has resumed the operation of its Azot branch in Berezniki (Perm region). All workshops of the enterprise reached the required capacity.
On July 7, 2020, Uralchem temporarily suspended the operation of the Azot branch due to a sharp rising of the concentration of calcium chloride in the Kama river used by Azot branch to take water for the production of mineral fertilizers. Pollution of the river threatened the safety of the enterprise’s equipment.
After 10 days, the concentration of calcium chloride has dropped to acceptable levels that allowed Uralchem to resume the Azot branch production.
