Odessa Port Plant managed to make a small profit

In the 2nd quarter of 2020, Odessa Port Plant (Ukraine) produced 210.6 thousand tons of carbamide and 141 thousand tons of ammonia. The company’s net profit exceeded one million dollars.
During April-June this year, Odessa Port Plant was modernizing the carbamide unit #2, which is expected to commission in the 1st quarter of 2021. The company was also preparing for the scheduled overhaul of the carbamide unit #1, which started on July 5.
Odessa Port Plant is one of the most powerful chemical enterprises in Ukraine. It can produce more than a million tons of ammonia and 600 thousand tons of carbamide per year.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
