Odessa Port Plant stopped its operation

Odessa Port Plant (Ukraine) almost completely stopped production. The enterprise has left the minimum number of employees to keep its equipment running, reports a source of Fertilizer Daily.

The website of Odessa Port Plant is also down, saying: “We apologize for the inconvenience, but the site is currently undergoing maintenance.”

“Recently Russia stopped pumping ammonia to Ukraine which might be the reason for the suspension of Odessa Port Plant. Under the current conditions, the plant would hardly be able to find other ammonia suppliers,” commented the information and analytical service of Fertilizer Daily.

Odessa Port Plant is one of the most powerful chemical enterprises in Ukraine. It can produce over 1 million tons of ammonia and 600 thousand tons of carbamide per year. In 2020, the plant produced 566.8 thousand tons of ammonia and 821.2 thousand tons of carbamide.
