Grodno Azot may start the construction of a new complex in 2021

As the Minister of Architecture and Construction of Belarus Ruslan Parkhomovich announced, Grodno Azot may start the construction of a new nitrogen complex already next year.

According to his statement, if the construction begins in 2021, then the plant is supposed to be launched by 2025. However, firm dates are still unknown.

The cost of the nitrogen complex is estimated at $1.2 billion, about $250 million of which will come directly from Grodno Azot, and the rest is supposed to be financed through loans from foreign banks. The new complex will produce about 1.25 million tons of nitrogen fertilizers and can pay off in ten years.

Builders, who complete their work at the Belarusian nuclear power plant, will be involved in the construction of the nitrogen complex.
