Illegal immigrant workers found on Eco-Culture’s production
Dozens of illegal workers were found at one of the agricultural enterprises in the Tula region.
“We checked one of the agricultural complexes in the Shchyokinsky region and found foreign citizens who worked despite the immigration irregularities. 70 administrative offenses were recorded,” says the press-service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Tula region.
According to the local media, the inspection was carried out in the Tula greenhouse complex. The complex is part of the agro-industrial holding ECO-Culture. The opening of the first stage of the complex with an area of 26 hectares took place in January 2020. It can produce about 22 thousand tons of vegetables per year.
ECO-Culture is one of the largest producers of vegetables of the closed ground in Russia. They grow tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce.
