Ukraine has changed suppliers of nitrogen fertilizers
According to the statement of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club, the growth in the production of nitrogen fertilizers in Ukraine in 2020 led to a decline in their imports.
Last year, the import of nitrogen fertilizers in monetary terms amounted to $152 million against $365 million in 2019. In physical terms, their imports amounted to 812 thousand tons in 2020, and the largest share was accounted for ammonium nitrate.
After the introduction of the embargo on imports of agrochemicals from Russia, changed the geography of countries-suppliers of nitrogen fertilizers. The largest of them were Belarus, Poland, Georgia, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Kazakhstan with shares of 29%, 23%, 13%, 10%, 10% and 6%, respectively.
