PhosAgro expects fertilizer prices to remain high amid some risks

As follows from the press-release of PhosAgro, dedicated to its financial results of 1Q2021, the current prices for agricultural products in the world market remain at record levels, thereby supporting the availability of mineral fertilizers.

“Besides, the second and third quarters traditionally has a peak in seasonal demand from the main global sales markets — India and Brazil, which, combined with low stock and continued demand in the US, will keep prices at high levels,” the press-release says.

Nevertheless, the risk factors in the short term will be an increase in exports of mineral fertilizers from China and a possible decline in import demand from India due to raised world prices, while the subsidies for the purchase of fertilizers will stay at the level of the last year.
