PhosAgro and Demetra-Holding agreed to launch a joint digital platform

Within the framework of the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, PhosAgro and Demetra-Holding signed an agreement to jointly use and develop new services for the agro-industrial complex.

The parties agreed to support the launch of new projects in the field of agrarian digital ecosystems, which in the future will cover almost all spheres of farmers’ activity and meet requirements of agricultural enterprises in digital services throughout the entire life cycle of agricultural products.

The key project is expected to be launched in summer 2021. It’s based on the e-commerce platform, which can provide service both for purchasing mineral fertilizers, seeds, plant protection products, and agricultural equipment and for the sale of crops. Moreover, farmers will be able to receive various financial services. The platform will help to increase the transparency of the grain market and the overall efficiency of agriculture, introduce clearer and simpler rules in agricultural trade.

As follows from the agreement, the volume of turnover of mineral fertilizers during the first year may reach about 40 thousand tons, the purchase of crops — over 100 thousand tons. The financial services provided to farmers may exceed 100 million rubles (approximately $1.37 million).
