Cherkasy Azot will revamp its key workshop

Cherkasy Azot (part of Group DF) has begun the modernization of carbamide plant No. 6.

“The modernization of the carbamide plant will be the company’s largest project in the last 10 years. The enterprise makes money, so the shareholder keeps investing and modernizing key industrial sites. The modernization of the carbamide workshop is a large set of measures aimed at increasing the capacity of the shop and achieving energy savings. The exact figures for the new capacity of the workshop will be published after the implementation of the project and the resumption of the operation of the workshop,” said Vitaly Sklyarov, Chairman of the Board of Cherkasy Azot.

Cherkasy Azot has two carbamide workshops — No.2 and No.6, with a capacity of a thousand tons per day each. In 2020, the company produced 1.748 million tons of nitrogen fertilizers and 511.7 thousand tons in 1Q2021.
