UN has confirmed PhosAgro’s leading status
The United Nations (UN) has confirmed PhosAgro’s status as a leader of the UN Global Compact for its commitment to responsible business operations.
PhosAgro has been announced one of the most active participants in the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. For the first time, PhosAgro was awarded a Lead status in 2019. Now only 37 companies all over the world have this status.
“The status of one of the most involved companies in the global compact is very important to us. The UN’s confirmation recognizes our commitment to the agreement’s principles in the field of environmental protection, human rights, labor relations, and the fight against corruption,” said Andrey Guryev, PhosAgro CEO. “For 20 years now, we have considered sustainable development a priority for our company, which is reflected in the corporate strategy until 2025. We strive for further progress in this area and realize our responsibility for ensuring the food security of our planet, supplying 102 countries of the world with eco-efficient mineral fertilizers that do not contain concentrations of cadmium and other heavy metals hazardous to humans health and soil.”
