Exports of fertilizers from Russia have been suspended

Exports of mineral fertilizers from Russia have been suspended due to the lack of licenses from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

Shipments have been stopped, and declarations have been canceled. The exporters who didn’t manage to register their cargo before December 1, cannot realize their supplies. The situation is caused by the fact that fertilizer producers have not yet received an export license from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

The vessels are stuck at the approaches to the ports and cannot be loaded. The cargo is accumulated in the seaports.

The suspension of shipments to ports increases traffic on the main highways and bypass routes. This also complicates the supply of mineral fertilizers to the domestic market, the products are forced to be stocked, and there is almost no free storage capacity left.
