PhosAgro CEO assessed the prospects for Russian agriculture
According to the statement of PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev, the agriculture of Russia is the most promising sector of the domestic economy, the development of which will be promoted by the introduction in 2022 of the federal law “On agricultural products, raw materials and food with improved characteristics”.
“The Russian agro-industrial complex is now the most promising and rapidly developing sector of the economy. The agro-industrial complex of Russia has excellent prospects, the realization of which will be supported by the creation of a green brand of products with improved characteristics in our country. The corresponding law will come into force just next year,” said Andrey Guryev.
As follows from his speech, the capacity of the global market for green agricultural products is over $300 billion, and it will only grow, so Russian farmers have excellent chances to occupy this niche.
“The green brand is based on the unique eco-efficiency of Russian mineral fertilizers. Our sector today is an example of high-tech Russian products that are in demand all over the world,” Andrey Guryev noted.
He also added that the demand for mineral fertilizers in the world will increase rapidly, while in Russia, according to the estimates of the domestic Ministry of Agriculture, it will double by 2025 (compared to last year).
