Acron in 2021 reduced the output of ammonium nitrate by 7.8%

Acron Group has published its production results for the last year. As follows from its press-release, the output of mineral fertilizers in 2021 increased by 4.9% to 6.765 million tons.

At the same time, the production of ammonia increased by 6.6% to 2.909 million tons, nitrogen fertilizers by 7.5% to 5.058 million tons, and complex fertilizers by 10.7% to 2.625 million tons.

In terms of the production of certain grades of mineral fertilizers, the company reported a contradictory situation. On the one hand, the production of carbamide increased by 23.9% to 1.463 million tons, carbamide-ammoniac compound by 23.5% to 1.354 million tons, NPK-fertilizers by 7. 6% to 2.406 million tons. On the other hand, the output of ammonium nitrate decreased by 7.8% to 2.441 million tons.

“In 2021, Acron Group produced a record 8.5 million tons of marketable products, which is 6% more than the previous year. In 2021, we completed the implementation of the Carbamide No.6+ project, due to which the output of carbamide reached the record 1.6 million tons,” said Alexander Popov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Acron Group. “Amid positive price dynamics for mineral fertilizers in 2021, Acron Group accelerated the implementation of active investment projects and launched new projects as well.”
