Yara faces sales slump

In 1Q2022, the Norwegian producer of mineral fertilizers Yara International (hereinafter Yara) reduced the production of ammonia and mineral fertilizers by 3.8% to 1.723 million tons and by 5.8% to 4.863 million tons, respectively.

Of the total production of mineral fertilizers, the output of carbamide decreased by 3.5% to 1.126 million tons, ammonium nitrate by 5.3% to 1.525 million tons, and NPK fertilizers by 4.1% to 1.456 million tons.

In the January-March period this year, the total sales of Yara fell by 3.3% to 443 thousand tons, and the sales of mineral fertilizers decreased by 11% to 6.102 million tons.

Earlier, Fertilizer Daily reported that Yara continued to supply mineral fertilizers to the farmers in Ukraine.
