Sowing campaign in the Republic of Mordovia is being delayed

Rains have delayed the sowing campaign in the Republic of Mordovia. According to the statement of the Ministry of Agriculture of Mordovia, as of today, farmers of the region have sown 85% of the total planned spring crops, which is a quarter less compared to the same period last year.
Sugar beet in Mordovia has already been sown on 20 thousand hectares out of 22.2 thousand hectares of planned areas, potatoes — on 193 hectares out of the planned 368 hectares.
The sowing of corn, rapeseed, sunflower, and soybeans continues.
