Russian farmers will acquire 5 million tons of mineral fertilizers this year

According to the statement of the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, Dmitry Patrushev, this year, domestic farmers will purchase 5 million tons of mineral fertilizers. The level of their application is 60 kg per 1 hectare of arable land.

As follows from his report, last year there was serious volatility in the Russian market and prices for certain mineral fertilizers increased many times. However, due to the measures taken by the government, the situation has become stable. Russian chemical companies are planning to increase the production of mineral fertilizers.

“By 2030, the volume of purchases of mineral fertilizers must be increased to 8 million tons,” Dmitry Patrushev emphasized.
