KuibyshevAzot revised the cost of the new project
The KuibyshevAzot plant (the city of Togliatti, Samara region) has selected a site for a new production of nitrogen fertilizers: it will be created at its subsidiary, the Kurskkhimvolokno plant.
The new enterprise will produce 200 thousand tons of ammonia, 800 thousand tons of carbamide, and 365 thousand tons of carbamide-ammoniac compound per year. To supply it with gas, it’s planned to lay a high-pressure gas pipeline with a length of over 24 km. Investments in future production are estimated at 75 billion rubles (almost $1.25 billion), although earlier it was about 50 billion rubles (almost $827.5 billion).
“The increase in the cost of the project is probably due to the dynamics of the ruble exchange rate, which affects the cost of technological equipment necessary for the production of nitrogen fertilizers,” commented the information and analytical service of Fertilizer Daily.
