Nepal would like to buy mineral fertilizers from Russia

Nepal is interested in buying Russian fertilizers and would like to supply more tea, said the Nepali ambassador in Moscow Milan Raj Tuladhar.

“The current trade volume between Nepal and Russia is small. However, if there are direct flights, more exchanges between Russia and Nepal will open up more prospects. For example, we need Russian fertilizers. Agriculture is a vital part of Nepal, so we need a lot of mineral fertilizers,” said Milan Raj Tuladhar.

He also noted that the supply of fertilizers from Russia “would be a great support.”

“There are no fertilizer producers in Nepal due to the lack of raw materials, so its agriculture is directly dependent on their imports, mainly from India. However, the supply of mineral fertilizers from Russia will help them to reduce this dependence,” commented the information and analytical service of Fertilizer Daily.
