crop.zone, a leader in electric crop management technology, is strengthening its U.S. presence through a partnership with Big Iron Equipment, a Wisconsin-based supplier of high-quality agricultural machinery. Big Iron Equipment, headquartered in Plover, has built a strong reputation for providing advanced equipment from brands such as SPUDNIK, LS TRACTOR, and DEMCO. With a deep understanding of the region’s farming needs—particularly in the potato industry—the company plays a critical role in helping farmers integrate innovative technologies into their operations.

The collaboration will expand access to crop.zone’s herbicide-free crop desiccation, cover crop management, and weed control technology. By leveraging Big Iron Equipment’s established relationships and distribution network, crop.zone aims to accelerate the adoption of its electric crop management solutions in the U.S. market. Wisconsin, one of the country’s most important potato-growing regions, is expected to be an early focal point.

“The U.S. is a key market for us, and partnering with Big Iron Equipment is a significant step toward expanding our reach,” said Christian Kohler, Chief Commercial Officer of crop.zone. “Wisconsin is one of the country’s most important potato-growing regions, and with Big Iron’s strong local presence, we are ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support and service.”

Big Iron Equipment’s long-standing presence in the agricultural sector positions it as a valuable partner for crop.zone. The company has a track record of providing farmers with cutting-edge equipment and support, helping them improve efficiency and sustainability. Its expertise in precision farming and its strong service network will be instrumental in integrating crop.zone’s electric crop management technology into existing farm operations.

crop.zone, which has seen widespread adoption of its technology in Europe, is using this partnership to scale its North American operations. The company’s solutions offer farmers an alternative to chemical herbicides, addressing growing demand for sustainable farming practices. With Big Iron Equipment’s industry knowledge and customer base, the two companies aim to drive greater adoption of electric crop management across key U.S. agricultural markets.

As the agriculture industry faces increasing pressure to reduce chemical use and adopt more sustainable methods, the partnership reflects a broader shift toward technology-driven solutions. By combining crop.zone’s innovation with Big Iron Equipment’s market expertise, the collaboration is set to provide U.S. farmers with practical, scalable alternatives to conventional crop management methods.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
