Bunge divests Canadian grain elevators as part of merger approval conditions

Bunge has sold five grain elevators in Western Canada as part of the divestiture commitments required by the Canadian government for regulatory approval of its merger with Viterra.
The facilities have been acquired by regional operators. Direct Grain Limited has taken over the Dixon, Saskatchewan, elevator, while Manitoba-based Linear Grain acquired the Fannystelle site. BP & Sons Grain and Storage purchased three locations in Beausejour, Tucker, and Coulter, Manitoba.
A sixth facility in Valparaiso, Saskatchewan, is under a tentative sale agreement pending approval by the Minister of Transport. Closing is expected shortly after the necessary authorization is granted.
Since July 2, the divested assets have been managed independently under a Hold Separate Manager, with the entire process monitored by a government-approved third party to ensure compliance with the merger conditions.
Separately from the mandated divestitures, Bunge also sold its Eyebrow, Saskatchewan, elevator to F.W. Cobs.
Bunge, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, and registered in Geneva, Switzerland, employs approximately 37,000 people worldwide. The company is a leading player in grain origination, oilseed processing, and distribution, connecting farmers and consumers across more than 50 countries.
The divestitures mark another step toward completing the integration with Viterra, a deal aimed at strengthening Bunge’s global position in grain and oilseed markets while satisfying regulatory requirements in key jurisdictions.
