Pivot Bio invests $7m to expand St. Louis operations with new innovation and manufacturing hubs

Pivot Bio plans to invest over $7 million to grow its presence in the Greater St. Louis region, creating two new Centers of Excellence focused on advancing crop nutrition and expanding U.S.-based manufacturing. The expansion involves opening a Research, Development and Innovation Center in Creve Coeur and a Customer and Operations Success Center in Hazelwood, creating a network that connects product development with distribution. The goal is to help farmers access the latest tools and resources for improving crop yields and sustainability.
This expansion comes at a time when farmers are dealing with higher costs, unpredictable supplies, and tighter schedules due to ongoing changes in the global fertilizer market. To help, Pivot Bio is ramping up domestic production and launching a long-term program to make nitrogen prices and supplies more predictable for farmers. The Hazelwood facility will focus on scaling up manufacturing, packaging, and logistics so more farmers across the country can get the crop nutrition products they need, when they need them.
The Creve Coeur facility, located in the 39 North AgTech Innovation District, will focus on developing the next generation of nitrogen technology, working closely with local research institutions and the agtech community. Pivot Bio expects the expansion to create more than 40 new jobs in the region.
