Bayer to build a plant in the Lipetsk Region

German Bayer plans to set up a new facility to manufacture the crop protection products in the Lipetsk Special Economic Zone. It will be concentrated mainly on the Russian market, some of the products will be exported, to the CIS countries including. Bayer will focus on the production of crop, corn and sugar beet protection products.

According to Yves Piquet, Head of CropScience Eastern Europe Division, the construction of a plant in the Lipetsk Region will be an important step for Bayer on the one hand and, on the other hand, will enhance the agricultural production efficiency and increase the export potential of Russian agriculture.
