Gensource Potash has announced an offtaker for Tugaske

Canada-based fertilizer developer Gensource Potash has secured an offtake agreement with Helm to supply products from the Tugaske potash project.

“We are very happy to announce our partnership with HELM as Tugaske’s offtaker,” said Mike Ferguson, President and CEO of Gensource. “HELM brings a significant existing US customer base as well as substantial and growing infrastructure – terminals and storage facilities – within the US agri-business supply chain… It is clear to us that HELM is here for the long term…”

Gensource Potash implements a business model that envisages the construction of small production facilities for the extraction of potash salts and their processing into potash fertilizers directed to specific markets.

The company is developing Vanguard One project within the Elk Point Basin that stretches over parts of Canada and the United States. The project will be an underground potash mining operation involving multi-lateral horizontal caverns and employing the selective solution mining. The solution mining technology is quite feasible with the geological conditions allowing the development of deposits in this way.

A mine, part of the Tugaske project, will be built in the same.
