Peat extraction resumed in the Tambov region

The Department of the Environment of the Tambov region issued a license for the extraction of peat to the group of companies Razvitie. The company plans to develop a peat deposit in the Sosnovsky district and will be able to extract up to 5 thousand tons of peat per year.

The obtained peat Razvitie will use for the production of organic fertilizers for its subsequent application to the fields of the Tambov region.

The Tambov region has peat deposits in 18 districts, however, its extraction was suspended since 2000. According to the experts, these raw materials should be used as compost and organic fertilizers.
