Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers will increase the phosphoric acid production

Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers (part of Uralchem) plans to increase the output of the wet-process phosphoric acid from 180 to 190 thousand tons per year. This became possible due to the completion of the main work on the project of the technical re-equipment of the wet-process phosphoric acid workshop No. 3.

One of the priority tasks of the project was the replacement of the vacuum-evaporator installation No. 1, which has been operating since 1976. A new unit was installed and commissioned in February 2021. Commissioning took several weeks, after which the vacuum-evaporator installation No. 1 reached the designed production capacity. Large-scale technical re-equipment works were conducted in other departments of the workshop as well.

“Within the technical re-equipment, we will be able to produce about 188 thousand tons of phosphorus pentoxide by the end of 2021,” noted Sergey Maslyukov, the Head of the wet-process phosphoric acid workshop No. 3. “At the same time, work on updating and improving production facilities will continue.”
