India begins a fight against counterfeit agrochemicals
Police of the Indian state Madhya Pradesh detained a local citizen for manufacturing and selling counterfeit mineral fertilizers and plant protection agents.
The local producer’s name is Mayank Khatri, and he was on the run since the police visited his “facility”, where they found coal dust, marble chips, salt, chemicals and plastic bags with labels of well-known manufacturers. Equipment used to produce counterfeit agrochemicals was confiscated.
According to the report of investigation, Mayank Khatri and his partners sold these agrochemicals in various cities of Madhya Pradesh.
