Nutrien predicts the global increase of cultivated land
As the Nutrien experts predict, the sowing areas for some crops will increase in 2021 compared to the results of 2020 due to a favorable economic environment.
They estimate that US soybean and corn fields will increase by 4 million acres (approximately 1.6 million hectares) more than the United States Department of Agriculture previously expected.
The sown area for corn in Brazil will also increase, however, its growth will be limited by weather conditions, which may affect its supply and demand balance.
Australia expects good soil moisture during the sowing of winter crops, therefore local farmers will increase their expenditures for winter crops growing to get higher incomes.
