Aleko was fined for application of prohibited fertilizers
The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) conducted an administrative investigation against the agricultural enterprise Aleko (Oryol region) on the fact of the processing of land plots with pesticides violating the requirements of the current legislation.
It was found that when processing the fields of rapeseed, the company violated the regulations for the use of pesticides. Aleko applied an insecticide named Monarch (where fipronil is the active ingredient), which is not approved for use on this crop.
Besides, at the borders of the land plots, no safety warning signs were informing about the processing, and the Head of the Aleko company didn’t provide files registering the use of pesticides and agrochemicals.
Taking into account the violation of the regulations for the use of pesticides and agrochemicals, Rosselkhoznadzor reported an administrative offense against Aleko. After the consideration of the administrative case, Aleko was fined.
