Russian government issued a resolution to stabilize fertilizer prices

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a document regulating the conclusion of agreements between nitrogen fertilizer producers and regional authorities.
As follows from the resolution, fertilizer prices agreed by the parties cannot be higher than the average prices set in the May-July 2021. The reached agreement shouldn’t limit farmers from independently choosing their suppliers of nitrogen fertilizers, however, the agreement should be used only for the needs of agriculture. Agricultural organizations and farmers are not allowed to resale nitrogen fertilizers.
The government decree will be valid until May 31 next year.
