PhosAgro increased supplies to India

PhosAgro has significantly increased sales of mineral fertilizers to India, says its CEO Mikhail Rybnikov.

“Today, cargo flows have increased towards Latin America and India. Shipments to India grew by almost 2.5 times,” noted Mikhail Rybnikov.

According to his statement, PhosAgro faced certain difficulties with the export of its products related to the payments, insurance and contracting the ships (freight rates increased by 1.5-2 times).

Mikhail Rybnikov noted that Phosagro continues to discuss long-term supplies of mineral fertilizers with Indian importers, which might be a document fixing the volume of supplies.

“It’s possible to conclude a long-term contract in terms of volumes but it’s hardly possible to fix the price, firstly because foreign partners are not ready for this,” he said.
