Ukraine expects to collect 18-19 million tons of wheat
In 2022, the wheat harvest in Ukraine is expected to reach 18-19 million tons, said Mykola Solskyi, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
“The new harvest will be sufficient, even though it’s significantly less than last year but more than was predicted during the sowing campaign. We forecast the harvest of 18-19 million tons of wheat. A lot has not yet been exported, and we consume 3-4 times less per year than we currently collect. The harvesting goes normally, with a slight delay due to the weather,” said Mykola Solskyi.
According to his statement, good harvests are expected for all crops sown in Ukraine. There are no factors that could negatively affect them, but their appearance in the future cannot be ruled out.
