EuroChem will expand Usolskiy potash plant

Glavgosexpertiza of Russia (Main Department of State Expertise) issued a positive opinion on the construction project of the second stage of the Usolskiy potash plant (part of EuroChem), which develops the Palashersky and Belopashinsky sites of the Verkhnekamskoe potash deposit (Perm region).

The new enterprise will include a mine, a processing plant, and transport and engineering infrastructure. Its capacity will be 12.6 million tons of potassium salts per year.

According to the statement of Andrey Rumer, a representative of the Glavgosexpertiza of Russia, to safely develop the Verkhnekamskoe potash deposit and to prevent accidental flooding of the mine, appropriate design solutions have been adopted.
