UK allows to finance the export of Russian ammonia
The government of the United Kingdom has published a general license allowing the provision of financial services for the export of nitrogen fertilizers from Russia to third countries.
It applies to the sale of ammonium nitrate and an aqueous solution of ammonia exclusively for the needs of agriculture.
“The issue of this general license may be associated with the widespread demand for ammonia and ammonium nitrate. It’s possible that their purchases from British farmers will soon grow, as they have already faced a strong increase in prices for nitrogen fertilizers. Their imports will go formally through third countries,” commented the information and analytical service of Fertilizer Daily.
