Russian greenhouse industry is changing and consolidating
“By the end of 2022, the harvest of greenhouse vegetables in Russia will amount to 1.6 million tons,” said Tamara Reshetnikova, General Director of the Technologies of Growth company.
According to her statement, since 2015, the greenhouse industry in Russia has rocketed: the size of industrial greenhouses has increased by 1.5 thousand hectares. At the same time, the structure of their distribution among individual players is changing.
“There is a process of consolidation of the greenhouse industry in the hands of large holdings,” said Tamara Reshetnikova.
There are two strategies for developing their business: either buying existing greenhouses or building them from scratch.
