In 2025, Uralchem will export 3.5 million tons of ammonia to Taman

The capacity of the first in Russia ammonia transshipment port complex in Taman will amount to 2 million tons of ammonia per year from December 2023. According to the government decree, by December 2025, it should increase to 3.5 million tons of ammonia and 1.5 million tons of carbamide per year.

In accordance with the order, the plan consists of two stages: the first stage is the transshipment of 2 million tons of ammonia (beginning of transportation by rail – December 2023), stage 2 – an additional 1.5 million tons of carbamide and 1.5 million tons of ammonia (beginning shipments in December 2025).

As follows from the plan, the project for the construction of a transshipment complex for mineral fertilizers and ammonia in the Temryuksky region in February should be included in the list of priority infrastructure facilities. It also involves the construction of a technological rack of ammonia pipelines, as well as a warehouse for ammonia and carbamide.

This will be first in Russia port for transshipment of ammonia in Taman, which will open an alternative supply path to the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline.
