Fertilizer prices in Europe began to decline

Even though there is still some uncertainty in the fertilizer market, 1H2023 ended with a significant decrease in the value of the main group of fertilizers.
Josh Linville, director of fertilizers at brokerage StoneX, said the decline in fertilizer prices was due to the industry’s recovery from the effects of the pandemic. In 2020, the disruption of supply chains led to a sharp increase in fertilizer prices.
Josh Linville noted that Western anti-Russian sanctions were not effective. Russia’s role in the fertilizer market has not diminished. This country was and remains one of the largest exporters of basic fertilizers.
