OMEX hails record-breaking Scottish fertilizer shipment

The fertilizer giant OMEX Agriculture recently welcomed into Dundee, Scotland, the largest liquid nitrogen raw material vessel ever to have entered the city’s port.

The company said that the 49,999 DWT ship, working with OMEX Agriculture, part-discharged its record-breaking delivery into OMEX’s Dundee port facility to ensure the ongoing provision of supplies for Scottish farmers.

“This is a significant milestone for OMEX [that] involved months of strategic planning from ourselves and Forth Ports to enable a vessel of such volume to safely discharge at our dedicated Dundee facility,” the company’s UK operations manager said.

OMEX describes itself as the UK’s leading supplier of liquid fertilizers, with its range consisting of Nitroflo N+S, Multiflo NPKS, and speciality liquid fertilizers. It said the ability to bring large vessels into the portside facility at Dundee reinforces its status as a key player within the liquid fertilizer industry.

“The Scottish market is incredibly important to us, and our investment into our Dundee facility exemplifies the commitment we’re making to Scottish farmers,” OMEX’s commercial director added.
