Eurochem ISP, a seed coating technologies spin-off of Eurochem Group, runs the project to develop seed coatings enriched with microorganisms that stimulate plant growth. New technology seeks to improve seed germination rates and crop resilience, addressing critical global agricultural challenges, including climate change and ecological sustainability.
The project leverages Eurochem ISP’s expertise in seed coatings, supplemented by UGent’s knowledge of microbiome ecosystems and VIB’s experience in plant-microbe interactions. The goal of the project is to enhance germination outcomes and stress resistance in harsh conditions such as drought, utilizing new microbial formulation technologies.
