Ecorobotix to integrate Maya platform in bet on data-driven agronomy

Ecorobotix plans to integrate Belgium-based Maya into its group, adding a data and decision-making layer to its precision spraying business as land managers face tighter chemical-use rules and rising costs.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The move combines Ecorobotix’s AI-guided sprayers, which target individual plants, with Maya’s software platform that aggregates data from weather, soil, equipment and operations. The integration is intended to link field diagnostics with application, an area where many operators still rely on disconnected systems.
Maya, founded by Valentine Godin in Belgium, was developed during the rollout of strict pesticide restrictions on managed turf. The platform is used by more than 150 facilities across 12 countries, including golf courses and sports venues, where operators must manage playing conditions while limiting chemical inputs.
Ecorobotix, based in Switzerland, sells precision spraying systems in more than 20 countries. Its equipment is designed to reduce herbicide use by applying treatments only where needed, rather than across entire fields or surfaces.
Chief Executive Dominique Mégret said the addition of Maya would allow the company to connect agronomic data with field operations more directly. Maya will continue to operate under its existing brand, and its platform will remain compatible with equipment from other manufacturers.
The companies expect initial product integrations in 2027.
