ICL posts strongest quarterly operating income in 3 years as Q2 2026 sales climb 17% to $2.1 billion

ICL Group reported its strongest quarterly operating income in three years for Q2 2026, with consolidated sales rising 17% year-over-year to $2.1 billion and adjusted EBITDA climbing 28% to $448 million. The Israel-based specialty minerals and chemicals company said broad-based growth across all four business segments drove the results, led by a 22% jump in potash division sales to $468 million.
Operating income reached $266 million, compared with $181 million in Q2 2025, while adjusted operating income of $281 million was up $80 million year-over-year. Net income attributable to shareholders rose to $137 million from $93 million, with adjusted net income increasing 35% to $149 million. ICL’s full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance of $1.5 billion to $1.7 billion remains unchanged.
The ICL Q2 2026 results came despite roughly $100 million in higher raw material costs and more than $40 million in negative foreign exchange effects from a strengthening Israeli shekel. Potash prices averaged $376 per metric ton CIF, up 13% year-over-year and 4% sequentially. The company’s specialty minerals business reported increased sales driven by strong magnesia demand across food, pharma and industrial end markets.
CEO Elad Aharonson noted that soft conditions in Brazil weighed on specialty fertilizer results during the quarter. He also signaled that ICL intends to realign its organizational structure at the beginning of 2027 to better support its strategic focus on specialty crop nutrition and specialty food solutions. The board declared a dividend of 5.81 cents per share, payable on September 16, 2026.
