Oman India Fertiliser Company S.A.O.C. (OMIFCO) is one of the Middle East’s leading nitrogen fertilizer producers, specializing in the manufacture of ammonia and granular urea for global agricultural markets. Established in 2005, OMIFCO is a joint venture between OQ Group (Oman) and Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO). The company operates a world-scale fertilizer production complex in Sur, Sultanate of Oman, strategically located to serve international markets through direct access to deep-water port facilities.
OMIFCO’s integrated manufacturing complex consists of two ammonia plants and two urea plants, utilizing natural gas as feedstock to produce high-quality nitrogen fertilizers. The company is committed to operational excellence, safety, environmental stewardship, and sustainable manufacturing practices while supporting food security through reliable fertilizer supply. Its products are primarily exported to India under long-term agreements, with additional sales to international customers across Asia, Africa, and other global markets.
