PhosAgro-Region to partner with Avgust

PhosAgro-Region (a part of PhosAgro) and Avgust concluded a cooperation agreement. The document was signed by Andrey Vovk, the General Director of PhosAgro-Region, and Alexander Uskov, the General Director of Avgust.

Under the agreement, the companies are planning to conduct research aimed at crop yield enhancement, as well as improving the quality and environmental safety of agricultural products. In addition, the companies are going to continue taking joint actions to demonstrate consumers in the key agricultural regions of Russia new efficient and eco-friendly methods of applying mineral fertilizers and plant protection products.

The agreement will also boost sales volumes of both companies. Earlier in the year, Avgust’s regional office started working in PhosAgro-Stavropol distribution center in Zelenokumsk (Stavropol Territory). This is convenient for the consumer: farmers do not need to waste time on doorknocking suppliers’ offices, consulting and consolidating all products into a single register. Arriving at the PhosAgro-Stavropol distribution center in Zelenokumsk, agricultural producers have an opportunity to purchase an integrated agronomic system based on PhosAgro mineral fertilizers and Avgust plant protection products that complement each other.

“We have long-standing friendly relations with PhosAgro. Once, PhosAgro began purchasing plant protection products from us to test their new types of mineral fertilizers. Today Avgust buys fertilizers from PhosAgro for their agricultural project. And together we are moving Russian agriculture forward,” emphasized Alexander Uskov, General Director of Avgust.

“The integrated use of protection and mineral fertilizers gives a remarkable effect that is not comparable with the use of the products separately. Over the past year, we have had several large joint events for farmers of the Russian South and the Central Black Earth Region. I am sure the agreement will contribute to expansion of current practices of interaction between our companies,” said Andrey Vovk, General Director of PhosAgro-Region.
